Easterly doesn't think foreign aid is the solution to world poverty

William Easterly does not think foreign aid can solve the issue of world poverty. Easterly, speaking at a forum staged by the Stanford Institute of Economic Policy Research May 9, cited an example of a 10-cent oral reydration salt to keep babies alive. After 50 years and 2.3 trillion dollars of foreign aid, nations of the world can still not supply this simple solution, he said.
