Annual Academic Council meeting to be held Thursday, May 15
Faculty, staff and students are invited to join President John Hennessy at the annual meeting of the Academic Council, where he will review the accomplishments of the past year and lead a panel discussion on “Building the University Campus for the 21st Century.” The panel will discuss ways to build state-of-the-art research and residence facilities that employ sustainable practices and responsible land-use principles while maintaining Stanford’s unique architectural sense of place.
The panelists will include:
Ann Arvin—Vice Provost and Dean of Research and the Lucile Salter Packard Professor of Pediatrics and Professor of Microbiology and Immunology
David Kreps—Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the Theodore J. Kreps Professor in the Graduate School of Business
David Lenox—University Architect and Director of Campus Planning
Joseph Stagner—Executive Director, Sustainability and Energy Management
In addition, Eamonn Callan, the Pigott Family Professor in the School of Education and Chair of the 40th Senate, will present the Report of the Senate of the Academic Council.
