Faculty win $50,000 Sloan Fellowships

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has chosen four Stanford faculty members to receive Sloan Research Fellowships for 2008: Gill Bejerano, assistant professor of developmental biology and of computer science; Nicholas Bloom, assistant professor of economics; Scott Klemmer, assistant professor of computer science; and Hua Tang, assistant professor of genetics.

They are among 118 outstanding researchers in the United States and Canada to receive $50,000 each in unrestricted grants over the next two years. The fellowship program aims to support promising young researchers early in their careers.
