Faculty Senate meeting to be held tomorrow
The Faculty Senate will convene Thursday for the third meeting of the winter quarter.
The senate is scheduled to hear a report from Richard Saller, dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences.
The senate also is scheduled to hear a recommendation that Stanford experiment with Introduction to the Humanities (IHUM) courses for three years, starting in 2008-09, to expand the repertoire of courses, increase participation from faculty outside the humanities and permit greater flexibility in the way courses are scheduled.
The senate will meet at 3:15 p.m. in Room 180 of the Law School. Discussion is limited to members of the senate, but members of the Stanford community may request to attend the meeting by contacting the Academic Secretary's Office at 723-4992 or Trish Del Pozzo at delpozzo@stanford.edu.
