Open house celebrates biomedical informatics

Stanford Medical Informatics is changing its name to the Stanford Center for Biomedical Informatics Research, and will hold an open house Oct. 8 to celebrate the transition.

The center, known now as BMIR, is the academic home to scientists who develop and evaluate new methodologies for acquiring, representing, processing and managing knowledge and data related to health, health care and the bio- medical sciences. For more information, go to http://bmir.stanford.edu.
