Stanford Hospital gets award for improvement
Stanford Hospital & Clinics was recently honored with a "Rising Star" award by the University HealthSystem Consortium.
The award recognizes significant improvement in ranking over a 12-month period in UHC's 2007 Quality and Accountability Study. Stanford was one of six organizations recognized for overall score improvement. The rankings were based on performance in patient safety, mortality, clinical effectiveness and equity of care.
Kevin Tabb, MD, chief quality & medical information officer at Stanford Hospital & Clinics, accepted the award on behalf of the hospital at the seventh annual UHC Quality and Safety Fall Forum meeting held in Palm Desert, Calif.
