Panel to explore how entrepreneurs can address global issues

A panel of faculty members and Silicon Valley leaders will discuss how entrepreneurship can help solve some of the world’s most pressing problems from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today at the William R. Hewlett Teaching Center, Room 200. Tom Byers, professor (teaching) of management science and engineering, will moderate the discussion. Panelists will include Jeffrey Koseff, director of the Woods Institute for the Environment; Coit Blacker, director and senior fellow of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies; Paul Yock, director of Stanford Biodesign; K. R. Sridhar, chief executive officer of Bloom Energy; Kavita Ramdas, chief executive officer of the Global Fund for Women; and Brook Byers, general partner of Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers. The panel discussion, which is free and open to the public, is part of EntrepreneurshipWeek USA and the Entrepreneurial Thought Leader seminar series.
