Cornel West (left), a professor of religion at Princeton, held forth on issues of education Saturday, Jan. 28, in Dinkelspiel Auditorium as part of a forum and discussion titled “Equity Matters: Creating Educational Opportunities for All Students,” sponsored by the School of Education and the Foundation for a College Education in East Palo Alto. Linda Martinez (center), a sophomore at East Palo Alto High School, and Bennie Mackey, a third-year law student at Santa Clara University, were among four high school and former foundation students who participated in the discussion.
