Making way for the new
The disappointment of a tough loss last weekend to Notre Dame barely had time to settle in before the wrecking crews went to work on a major renovation project for Stanford Stadium. The project will eliminate about 35,000 seats from the 85,000-seat stadium in an effort to make it a more intimate setting. The $90-million project should be complete in time for the kickoff of the 2006 football season.
