Stanford Medicine picks up awards
Stanford Medicine magazine has been honored with three 2004 Circle of Excellence Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, known as CASE.
In the category of special-interest magazines, Stanford Medicine received a bronze medal. It was one of 76 entries submitted by educational institutions throughout the country. Stanford Medicine is produced by the medical schoolÂ’s Office of Communication & Public Affairs.
A silver medal was awarded for the illustration that accompanied a Fall 2003 story titled, “Prickled Pink,” about the use of acupuncture for pediatric patients.
Additionally, the cover illustration for the Summer 2003 issue received a bronze medal. The illustration accompanied a story about StanfordÂ’s efforts to treat Marfan syndrome. The drawings were chosen from a field of 407 entries.
Circle of Excellence Awards are given to institutions that motivate and inspire others in areas of alumni relations, communications and development.
