Memorial for Kimberly Thompson April 7

Kimberly Thompson, former budget officer for the Department of Religious Studies and the Department of Philosophy and a Stanford employee for 16 years, died April 3 at her home in Palo Alto of leiomyosarcoma, a rare form of uterine cancer. Thompson was 46.

A memorial service for Thompson will be held at noon April 7 at Unity Church, 3391 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto. In lieu of flowers, Thompson and her family have requested that donations be sent to the Rare Cancer Resource Foundation, P.O. Box 60051, Palo Alto, CA 94306.
