Stanford offers land to Palo Alto for athletic fields, housing

Stanford has offered to lease its 6-acre Mayfield property, at the corner of El Camino Real and Page Mill Road, to the city of Palo Alto to be used for soccer fields and housing. The offer was announced Wednesday at a press conference in City Hall.
