Researchers from Stanford and
the Point Reyes Bird Observatory (PRBO) tagged this great white shark
along the California coast in Oct. 2000. Dubbed Tipfin, the 14.5-foot
male traveled nearly 3,000 miles to Hawaii, recording data on a satellite
archival tag, which eventually detached from the animal's body. |
