A major
part of Casper's legacy is his success in raising funds and overseeing
the restoration and construction of campus landmarks and new buildings.
The Stanford Museum -- destroyed in the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake --
was reborn as the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts (bottom).
Green Library, also damaged in the 1989 quake, was resurrected last autumn
